Availability and Selection

Dear Parents,

I'm going to start sending a note out on a Wednesday to all parents, asking about availability (of kids) for the following Sunday.

Reason for doing this is simply for myself and the other coaches to be able to preselect the teams / squads by the weekend in preparation for Sunday(s). It's increasingly difficult to do it on a Sunday, especially when we are trying to rotate players, sometimes move positions, and try different combinations.

If we don't hear back from you by the Thursday pm, then we will assume your little darling is not available and therefore he/she will need to slot in wherever there is a gap on the day....

Hope you all appreciate how this will help us move the coaching forward.

TRAINING THIS WEDNESDAY

Training is back on this Wednesday 15th at 6.45pm. Hope to see as many of you there as possible. We had 2 great performances against Old Ruts on Sunday and should be looking to build on this!

Wed 8th Nov - training cancelled

Please note there will be NO TRAINING this Wednesday. There is a coaches coaching (!) session at the club-house, and it's no bad thing anyway to have the occasional night off (for kids, coaches and parents!)

Away at Old Ruts next Sunday - 12th Nov

We had a great day at G&G today. The weather was fantastic and our kids played some excellent rugby. A good turnout too.

Next Sunday we are away at Old Ruts. Presumably training will be starting at 10am...

It's not hard to find. Down the A3 til you get to that big flyover that spins off left then up and over the road you're travelling on, then more or less straight on for a couple of miles.

Last time I took the A3 route, but this time I'm going to try the A24 from Jn9 on the M25 which looks a lot more straightforward. If that's a bad idea due to traffic or whatever, could someone let me/us know?
